EMDR Consultation

Laurel Thornton, LPC, ALPS, is a Neuro-psychotherapist and has been EMDRIA Approved Consultant since 2019. She owns a private practice located in Morgantown, WV. She has over 15 years of experience in the field of neuropsychology, counseling and coaching. Her clinical focus has been on working with individuals with childhood trauma, grief and loss, combat trauma, sexual assault, TBIs, and neuro-divergent processing. She is also an EMDR basic training facilitator with Rebecca Kase and Co. Laurel received her Masters degree in clinical counseling from West Virginia University and her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Emory University. Laurel is a member of EMDRIA, the National Board of Certified Counselors, is an adjunct faculty member at WVU and is a faculty member at Rebecca Kase and CO.

Sydney Menigoz, LPC , is a psychotherapist in private practice in Apex, NC, with specialties in trauma and working with children and adolescents. She is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in Training. Sydney holds a master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Eastern Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree from Fredonia State University in New York. She has completed specialized training in EMDR work with children through the AGATE Institute. Sydney worked with Whole Brain Solutions in Morgantown WV for 2 years before opening another branch in NC where she has been for 2 years. She has 5+ years of experience in the field of psychotherapy. Sydney is a member of EMDRIA, the National Board of Certified Counselors and is a CIT intern with Rebecca Kase and Co.

Miranda Riffle, LPC, is a psychotherapist working in private practice in Morgantown, WV, who specializes in trauma. Miranda has experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse/assault, grief and loss, substance use and specializes in helping others heal through a holistic lens. She is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in Training. Miranda holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminology as well as a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from West Virginia University. She has completed specialized training in EMDR in working with sexual abuse and assault survivors. Miranda has worked with Whole Brain Solutions for 5 years and has 6+ years of experience in the field of psychotherapy. Miranda is a member of EMDRIA, the National Board of Certified Counselors and is a CIT intern with Rebecca Kase and Co.
