Neuroscience and Somatics: Deepening Your Understanding of EMDR and the AIP Model
The goal of this workshop and consultation group is to help clinicians feel encouraged and empowered to show up more intuitively in their EMDR work. You are already doing powerful therapeutic interventions during EMDR and this training is about helping you better understand how and why it worked. And even more, why some interventions work with this person and not another or why it worked with one client one session and not the next. Our nervous systems are constantly responding to stimuli and we want to help you better meet a nervous system exactly where it is.

When: Postponed until February 1st and 2nd 2024
Where: This group will meet via zoom
Closed group consisting of 6 two-hour long groups.
Group will meet via zoom.
Participants are expected to join promptly and participate with cameras on.
Each day/session will have a set topic.
There will be material provided for participants to review prior to each session.
There will be time devoted to teaching and questions.
Participants are welcome to submit questions prior to meetings.

Upon completion, participants will be able to:
Be able to describe polyvagal theory in a way their clients could understand
Identify the neural networks that are unbalanced by chronic stress and trauma
Identify at least 3 ways in which they can bring in greater somatic awareness to each phase of EMDR
Deeper understanding of the neuroscience of the AIP Model and how we can be doing EMDR without BLS .
