Psychotherapist

Every young person should have the opportunity to reach their potential however stressors and challenges can cause barriers that prevent this. As a child and adolescent therapist, I create an open and safe environment where a young person has the freedom to explore their developing awareness of themselves and their place in the world around them. Having an accepting space where individuals feel seen and heard promotes an individual’s own capacity for self-healing, growth, and change.

I use a trauma informed approach and utilize EMDR as my primary treatment, while integrating elements of attachment theory, Transactional Analysis (TA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), plus play and art-based skills in sessions.

My areas of focus include working with children and adolescents that have experienced single event and childhood trauma, and helping them learn ways to manage their depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and anger. I have experience working with adopted and kinship families, plus young LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.
